When the First Couple reach their home place, all couples swing once around with a Waltz Swing, then dance a Left Hand Swing with Corners, and again swing Partners once around with a Waltz Swing, the First Couple moving to the center of the set as they swing, while the other three couples swing in place.
When the First Couple reaches the center of the sct^ they separate, the lady to her right and the gentleman to his left, and dance through the Side Couples, who separate from their Part­ners to allow the active dancers to pass between them to the outside of the set, the active dancers continuing around the outside of the formation to their home place, "Cutting off Two." When the First Couple reach their home place, all couples swing once around with a Waltz Swing, after which they Allemande Left and then Grand Right and Left half around the set to meet their Partners and Promenade home.
The call is repeated with the Second, Third, and Fourth Couples in turn leading the dance.
The terms of "Cut off six ('four' or ctwo')" refer to the total number of dancers which the leading or active couple dances around in these movements, each active dancer passing around three dancers to "cut off six"; two dancers to "cut off four"; and one dancer to "cut off two."
